To know your purpose is to understand where you belong in life. It’s about why you are here and what you were born to do. It is about fulfilling the desires of your heart and soul. Without purpose, you can feel lost and never quite sure how to direct your attention. When you are clear, however, the things that matter come together more easily and you begin to experience true wealth and happiness. Knowing your purpose acts as your anchor, rudder and sail. Life automatically becomes better.

This book is borne out of personal experience—an unexpected quest to follow my inner rumblings. Although I had explored ways of finding true wealth and getting my life on track, none of them quite worked until I stumbled upon the internal guiding process that would lead me there. I found my compass. Now my purpose includes helping you find yours.

When I first started writing, I was stymied, and I mean completely blocked. I was yearning to find my niche and become aligned with it. I was looking for a joyful way to earn my living and create wealth, yet ordinary logic had me imagining the future through the same lens that was keeping me stuck. The more I tried to figure it out, the less clear I became. I had all but given up.

I’ll admit I was feeling insecure and frightened, and yet my intuitive whispers still brought twinges of excitement and freedom. It was time to go after my higher purpose—that predominant human call to find what I was born to do. Life was calling me to enter a new dimension of understanding beyond what I had previously known. Compelled to follow this primary guiding force, I adopted it as my compass.
