When you open yourself to fresh understanding and apply several dynamics, a new personal power is unleashed. From there you are able to reorganize your focus and pursue the deepest callings of your heart.

My journey to Wealth Inside Out began with an unexpected bolt from the blue. One morning while working at the computer, I began to feel dizzy. My heart was racing, and I had a sense of panic. Calling for my wife Desirée, I gasped, “Honey, you better take me to the emergency room. I think I’m having a heart attack.”

I made it into the living room and fell on my knees while holding the back of the sofa. Nearly breathless, I wondered if this was it. Could my life possibly end this way, without ever expressing the dreams I had held inside? My real life’s work had not even begun, and my purpose was unfulfilled. What I did not yet understand was that my symptoms indeed marked the beginning of the new life that was waiting for me.

Everyone wants a good life, absolutely everyone. Regardless of income or sociocultural background, we want the same thing—to live happily and to be successful. We want satisfying work, connected relationships, financial freedom, physical vitality and a life that matters.

There is also a special dream in each of us that wants to happen. We want to know our purpose in life, fulfill our passions and do what we love. This is what I call Wealth Inside Out. The more common references to wealth are in terms of only money and material riches, yet true wealth—Wealth Inside Out—is about the quality of your whole life. Wealth simply means “well being,” which includes all aspects of your life. True wealth comes to you once you discover and activate your life purpose. Some people seem to find this easily; others work hard at it. Many spend their entire existence looking, and even more give up altogether.

There is no need to give up. Finding your purpose in life happens naturally by activating the passions inside of you. This is the first step toward true success and happiness. Now you need a way to get there. You have to find your compass. Much like a bird flies south for the
